Lemon & Walnut Green Beans

Ingredients
  • 1 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and cut in half
  • 1½ cups water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon fresh lemon peel
  • Juice from ½ of a lemon
  • 2 ounces chopped walnuts
Instructions
  1. Place beans and water in a large sauce pan. Cover, and bring to a boil. Set heat to low, and simmer until tender, about 14 minutes. Drain off the water, return beans to pan.
  2. Add butter, lemon juice and lemon peel to pan. Mix well. Divide amongst serving dishes and top with walnuts.
