Fall Time Fruit and Lettus Chopped Salad

Ingredients
  • 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 3 sliced bacon, cut into small pieces with kitchen scissors
  • 1 can pears, drained, chopped
  • 1 apple, cored, chopped
  • ¼ cup peanuts, chopped
  • ¼ cup Craisins
  • ¼ cup feta cheese
  • ¼ cup poppy seed dressings
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Instructions
  1. In a small skillet, cook bacon until mostly crisp, About 4 minutes. Save 1 teaspoon of bacon grease.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine pear, apple, Craisins, peanuts, feta, poppy seed dressing, balsamic vinegar, 1 teaspoon bacon grease, and bacon. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
  3. Add chopped romaine lettuce and completely coat lettuce. Serve.
