Ingredients
1 Pound broccoli florets
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup milk, divided
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
Pinch of nutmeg
Instructions
Steam broccoli for 5 to 7 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk ¼ cup of milk with the flour until smooth.
Heat the remaining ¾ cup of milk in a sauce pan until steaming, about 2 minutes. Whisk in the flour mixture; cook, whisking constantly, until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.
Remove from heat; add cheese and seasoning. Mix well. Pour over cooked broccoli.
