Asian Asparagus and Mushrooms

Ingredients
  • 1 bunch asparagus, ends trimmed off, cut into thirds
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 3 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ⅓ cup water
  • Salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet heat sesame oil and add ginger. Cook for 1 minute. Add mushrooms and garlic; continue to cook, stirring, for 2 minutes. Add asparagus and water; bring to a boil, cover and cook for 3 minutes. Add soy sauce and butter; cook for 1 minute longer. Season with salt and pepper.
