Easy Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces low fat cream cheese, softened
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground pepper
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan melt butter. Whisk cream cheese and garlic powder until smooth.
  2. Add milk, a little at a time, continuing to whisk. Stir in the Parmesan and pepper.
  3. Remove from heat. Sauce will thicken as it sits.
  4. Note: sauce can be thinned with more milk.
