Tom’s Lemony Mushroom Cream sauce

Ingredients
  • ½ cup half & half
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoon dry sherry
  • ¼ cup butter
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • Rind from 1 lemon
  • ½ teaspoon dill weed
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 can mushrooms, drained
  • Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. In a sauce pan melt the butter. Add the mushrooms and green onions; stir until softened, about 3 minutes.
  2. Add flour; continue to cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add sherry, lemon juice, half & half, & milk; simmer, stirring, until thickened. About 4 minutes.
  4. Add the fresh parsley & Lemon rind.
