Sweet and Sour Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 20 oz. can finely chopped pineapple, drained with juices reserved
- ½ low salt chicken broth
- 3 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 3 Tablespoons corn starch mixed with enough broth to make a roux
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 large finely chopped onion
- 1 large shredded carrot
- 1 large bell pepper, finely chopped
Instructions
- In a large pot on the stove top, mix the pineapple juice, the chicken broth, vinegar, soy sauce and brown sugar.
- Stir in the ginger, seasoning salt, and cornstarch mix, until smooth.
- Cook, stirring constantly at a low boil until sauce thickens.
- Stir in pineapple, carrots & peppers.
- Cover and cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes.
