Greek Green Beans

Here is a simple delisious way to liven up ordinary green beans.
Greek Green Beans

Ingredients
- ½ cup olive oil or canola oil
- 2 cups chopped onions
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 lb fresh green beans, ends trimmed, cut in half
- 2 cups fresh tomatoes, chopped
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet. Add the onions and garlic with ½ teaspoon salt and cook for 3 minutes.
- Add the green beans, tomatoes, sugar, ½ teaspoon more salt and some pepper to skillet. Reduce heat to a low simmer and cook for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Just a few small items all melded together and simmered slowly.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the onions and garlic with 1/2 teaspoon salt. Saute for 3 minutes.
Add the tomatoes, green beans, 1/2teaspoon more salt, pepper, and sugar. Combine well. Reduce heat to a low simmer and cook for 45 minutes.
Serve it up!
