It works faster and easier if you gather up all of the items before you start. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl combine the pork, turkey, eggs, BBQ sauce, onion, milk, bread crumbs, seasoning and garlic powder. Fold mixture just until combined. Try not to overmix or the meat can get gooy.
Here it is all combined.
Form into a loaf pan. If you do not have a loaf pan, you can form into a loaf and cook on any pan. The meatloaf will retain it’s shape as it cooks. Just make sure the pan has edges to help collect any greese that will cook out.
In a mixing bowl make the topping by combining the mustard, ketchup, and brown sugar. Mix well with a whisk.
Spread the sauce evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Place the loaf pan or other baking dish on a sheet pan to prevednt any cooking liquid from spillin in the oven.
Cook for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
Let it rest for about 10 minutes after it comes out of the oven to reabsorb any juices. You can see the meatloaf is nice and juicy and it is very light.
