Buttery Herb Wine Sauce

Ingredients
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 4 ounce can mushrooms, drained
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup white wine
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 egg, beaten
- ½ cup heavy cream
Instructions
- In a sauce pan, melt butter.
- Add the mushrooms and cook for 4 minutes.
- Mix in the flour, Italian seasoning and salt until smooth and cook for 2 minutes.
- Gradually stir in wine and chicken broth and stir to keep smooth. Bring to a simmer.
- Whisk in the egg and cream, simmer and continue to whisk until thickened.
